Murphy's Furniture

Murphy's Furniture began in 1973 when Matriarch Ruth Murphy (who passed in 2001) started Murphy Manor, an antique store in the basement of the historic family home in southeast Hillsboro.

The store evolved quickly and relocated a few times, from ready to finish furniture to what is now the "landmark" store in Cornelius on TV Highway.

Murphy's Furniture specializes in affordably priced, quality wood and upholstered furniture. Their focus is always on customer satisfaction. Murphy's offers Albany based Oakcraft office and bedroom furniture, Tualatin built Stanton sofas and recliners, and Washington crafted Sound Sleep's Coastal Mattress Collection.

Sisters Mary and Kathy are the second generation to steer the ship with the help of their children Travis Hogan (Kathy's son) and Kassandra Holub (Mary's daughter.) This family business has thrived for almost 50 years due to the "Theme of Team" among the 7 child deep "Original Murphy Tribe." Many hands have helped but it's the strong support of western Washington county that's been the key to their success.

Believing it is vital to give back to the community that supports you, Ruth's philanthropic mantra rings true today, with Murphy's passionate support of Boys and Girls Club, St Vincent DePaul, Open Door and 43 Murphy's St. Patrick's Parades.

Murphy's is open 7 days a week from 10 to 5, offers curbside pick-up and have an awesome website at Their focus on exceeding customer expectations allowed them to weather many a storm without losing the sparkle that comes with a visit to Murphy's Furniture.
