Every December 31st you think to yourself, "This is the year I really, really am going to get in shape."

We'll give you a pass for 2020 because you know, COVID-19, floods, earthquakes, FIRES, vaccinations. But 2022 is going to be better. Here are some tips from Nate and his crew at The Gym to keep you inspired and working out.

Schedule your workout just like a doctor or financial advisor. Are you committed, or do you want to carry around the extra tire? Seriously, you may need more doctor appointments if you don't do your best to get in shape.

If you don't know what you are doing and have been putting it off because you need some direction, meet with the staff at The Gym. Nate and his crew are experts at showing you how to use the equipment and have lots of tips to improve your workout.

Workout togs and well-fitting shoes are essential. Throwing on holey sweats and shoes that hurt your feet are not going to inspire you to keep on working out. Poorly fitting shoes can cause injury or pain and we all know that will keep us on our couches and out of The Gym.

Start out with small, achievable goals. Aiming for 40 pounds seems insurmountable, but 5 pounds is entirely doable. Just keep making those small goals over and over and there you are, in shape for 2022.

Make 2022 the year that you achieve all your fitness resolutions.
