We're not going to talk about failed resolutions when Valentine's Day is just around the corner!

No, we are going to talk about love.

First, is the love you show yourself when you get and stay in shape. You will feel better, sleep better and have more confidence. When you achieve your goals, reward yourself with new shoes, since you wore out the old ones, or some gym togs that will look fabulous on your fitter self. All that will cause you to get more stuff done since you have more energy and you will treat others better, too, because of your new positive outlook on life.

Next, is the love you show your partner by staying healthy and looking good. You can do things together, you know, like a hike, bike ride or run in the park without having to stop and catch your breath or passing out. And hey, sharing the bed with a slim person is more pleasant that with someone who's jammies are size 42XXX.

Most importantly, the love you show your family by getting fit. They want you to be there for them. To watch their soccer games and help with homework and walk them down the aisle. Previous Gym columns have told you all the reasons that exercise prevents disease and keeps you healthy. If you won't get fit for the first two reasons, then for goodness' sake, do it for your kids!

Give The Gym a call or visit and start to show the love.
