It's spring and time to shed our coats and umbrellas, pick some flowers and do some spring cleaning. Yeah, yeah, clean out the closets and junk drawer, but also clean up your fitness routine.

Toss out those unhealthy winter habits like not exercising, eating too many carbs and binge watching, well, whatever. Don't be too hard on yourself, we have just lived through a long pandemic, and we never knew if we could go to The Gym or not. Now you can go, so here are some tips to clean up your fitness routine.

Identify why you want to get in shape. More energy, better fitting clothes or just being healthier. If there is anything the pandemic taught us, it is that being healthy is important. When you know why you want to get fit, it will increase your determination and give you the willpower to resist carbs. Or ice cream. Or doughnuts.

Try something new at The Gym. Make an appointment with a trainer, take a different class or learn a new machine. It really will be fun. And we know that we like to do something fun.

Get your bestie to work out with you. A little friendly competition, a little accountability and commitment and a lot of visiting while you work out are good things.

Hydrate. Sleep. You know these things They are easy to say, hard to do. But come with great rewards.
