For many of us, Fall is the start of a new year, school starts up and the weather changes from an outdoor season to a stay in the house season. And the start of a new time period is always a good time to decide to get back in shape.

It usually takes 6 to 8 weeks to notice changes after you start your new fitness plunge. It's unfair and seems like such a long time, but that's how it is. After 3 to 4 months, you can do a pretty good overhaul of your health and fitness. That's not too bad, really. If you start now, you can look fabulous for New Year's Eve and that tropical vacation in January.

It's going to get dark earlier, we experience less sunlight and those energy levels may drop. Don't give into the temptation to veg out! Exercise regulates your energy level and will help you sleep better.

Do this Fall check with yourself. Am I eating properly? Getting enough sleep? Am I drinking too much or watching too much TV? If you are, you know how to fix it. The important thing is to recognize it and change your evil ways.

Autumn fitness can be an off-season a restart or a brand-new start to your fitness routine. Take the high road and let Nate and his staff at The Gym are ready to help you with a new or updated fitness routine.
