Josh Sweeney, his wife Amber Sweeney, Marine Master Sgt. Roger Seid and Hillsboro Mayor Jeff Willey break ground on the future site of the Sweeney's mortgage-free, specially adapted home on Southwest River Road near Hillsboro. HFOT, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit, is providing the Sweeneys with a specially-adapted, mortgage-free house to help the soldier pursue his dreams of achieving a degree in engineering and starting a sled-hockey team in Oregon. Sweeney scored the winning goal for the U.S. Sled Hockey team during the Paralympics in Sochi, Japan last winter.
