South Hillsboro open house event planned for Feb. 15
Curious about the construction along Cornelius Pass Road and Tualatin Valley Highway? The city of Hillsboro is hosting an open house next week to discuss the massive South Hillsboro development.
City staff will be on hand Thursday, Feb. 15 at Rosedale Elementary School, 3901 S.E. 67th Ave., from 5 to 7 p.m. to answer questions about the ongoing construction project.
The largest planned development in state history, an estimated 200 homes are expected to be completed in South Hillsboro this year. Over the next two decades, the site is expected to house an additional 20,000 Hillsboro residents. This summer, the area will be home to the 2018 Northwest Natural Street of Dreams.
Staff will discuss several road adjustments in the works, including traffic changes to Southwest Cornelius Pass Road, TV Highway, Southeast Blanton Street and Southeast 67th Avenue — formerly Southwest 229th Avenue.
The open house will also include a presentation from the Home Builders Association of Metro Portland, which will discuss the upcoming Street of Dreams
"Community members can discuss South Hillsboro activity with experts from the city of Hillsboro, the Hillsboro School District, Washington County, the Willamette Water Supply Program, Pahlisch Homes, and other neighborhood partners."
