Five Hillsboro students receieved scholarship money from the Hillsboro Rotary Club toward higher education.

The Hillsboro Rotary Club held its annual Hillsboro School District "scholarships award luncheon" on Thursday, June 14, awarding four students $5,000 each toward their college education and another student $3,000 for the Rotary interact scholarship. This year's recipients were Tanner Morris from Century High School, who plans to pursue Peterson Cat Tech training at Portland Community College; Adrian Tenario from Glencoe High School, who plans to attend Portland Community College to pursue electronics engineering technology and will be the first in his family to attend college; Kayla Dartez from Liberty High School, who plans to study digital art with a focus in animation at Portland Community College; Analeea Chavea from Century High School, who plans to attend Portland Community College to pursue nursing, and Kaitlyn Krautscheid from the Hillsboro Online Academy who plans to attend Oregon Institute of Technology to pursue a degree in digital imaging.
