SLIDESHOW: Oregon International Airshow
You couldn't be anywhere in western Washington County last weekend without seeing, or hearing, some of the big attractions at this year's Oregon International Air Show.
The annual celebration of all things aviation kicked off Friday, Sept. 28, with an evening show and fireworks, before full day shows Saturday and Sunday.
Photographer Christoper Oertell spent two days at the show, collecting hundreds of photos.
While a light drizzle pattered the runway on Saturday, it wasn't enough to keep people away. As many as 63,000 people attended this year's show, according to organizers.
This year's headliners, the Canadian Forces 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, better known as the Snowbirds, The nine-member squadron showed plenty of high-flying acrobatics in Canadian-built CT-114 Tutors.
"The Canadian Forces Snowbirds and all of our performers put on an outstanding show this weekend," said Bill Braack, President of the Oregon International Air Show. "We want to thank our performers, Standard TV & Appliance and all of our generous sponsors, our hundreds of volunteers, and our great air show fans for making our 2018 show a very special year."
