Police arrest dozens of men on charges of soliciting prostitution in undercover sting.

Authorities in Hillsboro and Portland arrested more than 20 people on Thursday, Nov. 8 on charges of soliciting prostitutes, including two people who allegedly tried to solicit sex from underage teens.

In a joint mission between Hillsboro and Gresham police departments, the Portland Police Bureau and Washington County Sheriff's Office, 23 men were arrested Nov. 8 on charges of patronizing a prostitute.

Undercover officers met with men online, according to the sheriff's office. The officers reportedly posed as prostitutes, offering sex for money. The men were told to meet at one of two hotels in Hillsboro and Portland. When the men arrived at the hotels they were arrested.

Two of the men arrested believed the officers were underage children when they arrived at the hotel, authorities said.

Walter Renderos, Jr., 29, of Portland, and Toran Tolleson, 21, of Salem, were arrested and charged with luring a minor for sex.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Renderos believed he was meeting a 16-year-old boy for sex at the hotel. Tolleson made plans to meet with what he believed was a 16 year old girl, according to police.

Also arrested at the unnamed Hillsboro hotel were Juan Ramon Placencia-Jimenez, 36, Aloha; Michael Dean Satterlee, 61, Beaverton; Jose Luis Flores-Solano, 38, Cornelius; Ahmed Azizi-Bahare, 24, Happy Valley; Roberto Carlos Luis-Ramirez, 27, Hillsboro; Mark Smith, 59, Hillsboro; Ronald Lee Thomas Jr., 47, Tigard; Patrick Robert Dempsey, 29, Portland; Dilshod Mirosobirovich Sevarov, 24, Brooklyn N.Y. and Jonibek Kenjaev, 30, Brooklyn, N.Y.

Names of johns arrested at the Portland hotel were not released Friday.

This is the second large-scale arrest of johns in the past year. In June, deputies arrested 37 people on charges of sexual solicitation.

"The involved agencies wish to thank the local hotels who provided resources and assistance during this operation," authorities said in a joint statement.

Additional assistance was provided by the Washington County District Attorney's Office and the Washington County Parole & Probation.
