It was standing room only in a large tent at the Washington County Veterans Memorial at the Fair Complex in Hillsboro.

Attendees listened to the host of the event, Dale Pack, Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2666 and keynote speaker Brigadier General William J. Prendergast, Land Component Commander for the Oregon National Guard.

Vietnam era veterans were presented with Vietnam Veteran lapel pins. The pins were provided in partnership with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration and are a token of the nation's appreciation.
