Authorities have located the van, which sped away from the scene. No arrests have been made.

Marjorie Averill, 38, of Beaverton, was struck by a car while crossing Northeast Cornell Avenue at 17th Avenue at about 7:40 p.m.,Saturday night.

The van was later recovered but no arrests have been made.According to HIllsboo Police, Averill and another man were walking west on Northeast Cornell Road and crossed Northeast 17th Avenue when they were struck by a white van. The van had stopped at stop sign and was turning left onto Cornell Road when it struck the two victims.

The van did not stay at the scene, police said. The van sped off, traveling east on Northeast Cornell Road. Authorities recovered the van Sunday morning, Jan. 20, but no arrests have been made.

Averill died at the scene, police said, and, the man suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
