Police arrest suspected car prowler
Forest Grove police have arrested a man they say is a prolific car prowler, who has stolen items from cars across the city.
Dale Corra, 50, of Forest Grove, was arrested June 6. Police say he is a suspect in a series of car break-ins and thefts over the past month.
Police were called to the 2700 block of 15th Place at about 5:40 a.m., June 6, to reports of a car prowler. Officers spotted a man, later identified at Corra, and arrempted to speak with him, but he ran off, police said.
After a brief chase, the man was cornered in a backyard. Officers used a Taser on the man before arresting him.
Corra faces charges of second-degree theft, interfering with a police officer, second-degree criminal trespass, two counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, and violating his probation.
Police are still investigating.
