Hillsboro bicyclist sent to OHSU after crash
The Hillsboro Police Department is investigating a crash on Northeast Cornell Road and 28th Avenue, after a truck struck a bicyclist on Wednesday evening, June 19.
According to Hillsboro Sgt. Leland Gilbert, officers were called to the intersection at about 6:43 p.m., Wednesday, to reports of the crash. A 53-year-old man riding a bicycle on the eastbound side of Cornell Road was struck by a truck on 28th Avenue as it turned right onto Cornell.
The bicyclist was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to Oregon Health & Science University hospital in Portland with serious injuries. Police said he was in stable condition.
