UPDATE: Farmington Road has reopened following the deadly crash on Wednesday.

Two occupants of a sedan were killed in a collision with a pickup truck on Southwest Farmington Road in Aloha on Wednesday evening, Aug. 28, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The crash was reported after 6 p.m. Wednesday in between Southwest 196th and 198th avenues, near Hazeldale Elementary School.

A deputy arriving on the scene reportedly tried to render medical assistance. However, Sgt. Danny DePietro, a spokesman for the Washington County Sheriff's Office, said both the driver and passenger in the sedan died at the scene.

The woman driving the truck was uninjured and remained at the scene; she is cooperating with police, and DePietro said there is no indication that she was driving while intoxicated.

A crash investigation is underway.

The Sheriff's Office said investigators believe the sedan, a blue Chrysler Sebring, was driving eastbound on Farmington Road when it crossed the center median into the path of the westbound Chevrolet Silverado. The Sebring may have been speeding.

Farmington Road was closed at the scene of the wreck for several hours.

Investigators are asking any witnesses to the crash to call the Washington County non-emergency line at 503-620-0111.
