OHSU's Dr. Mary Zelinski helped girls with a cryopreservation experiment at the Hillsboro school.

Dr. Mary Zelinski showed female STEM students a hands-on cryopreservation experiment to demonstrate how scientists preserve cells or body organs from endangered species for future study. The girls placed different levels of water and glycerol in a test tube and cooled it with liquid nitrogen to see if ice formed.
