Tongue Lane reduced to one lane, delays expected
A stretch of Southwest Tongue Lane between Southwest Golf Course Road and Southwest Johnson School Road has been reduced to one lane as the City of Hillsboro repairs a leak on a large water pipe near the Forest Hills Golf Course.
Traffic in the area will be directed by flaggers, and motorists should expect up to 15-minute delays with increased traffic congestion, according to a statement from the city. Officials recommend using alternate travel routes.
"The pipeline under repair is a significant piece of water infrastructure, as it delivers drinking water from the Joint Water Commission Water Treatment Plant in Forest Grove, to customers in the cities of Hillsboro and Beaverton, as well as the Tualatin Valley Water District," the statement read.
The repairs are expected to be completed by Friday, Nov. 22.
