The work will take place on Walnut Street and 17th Avenue between Highway 8, signed as Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway, and Dennis Avenue.

Walnut Street becomes 17th Avenue at Dairy Creek Park.

The work will occur nightly at 6 p.m to 6 a.m. from Monday, Aug. 30, through Friday, Sept. 3, said Hillsboro Public Works Department officials in a statement Tuesday, Aug. 24.

Both lanes of the roads will be closed to through traffic while work is conducted.

Drivers and bicyclists who need to travel on the roads are being asked to use an alternate route.

The sidewalks along the roads will remain open to pedestrians and bicyclists.
