The new stop is in the Tanasbourne Town Center at Northeast Town Center Drive, just south of Evergreen Parkway.

The stop is centrally located, allowing passengers to walk, bike, roll, carpool or take TriMet at the stop, said officials with the Oregon Department of Transportation in a statement Friday, Sept. 17.

ODOT funds and manages the Point service through contracts with private transit carriers.

Officials added passengers can access food, shopping and other services at the Tanasbourne Town Center nearby.

The stop will become the ninth stop along the route, which offers twice-daily bus service between the Northwest Oregon Coast and downtown Portland.

The stop is shared by the Tillamook County Transportation District, officials said.

The service's coach-style buses are modern, seat 56 passengers and are wheelchair accessible, officials said, adding the buses offer restrooms, free Wi-Fi, charging ports, air conditioning and space for luggage and bikes.

Tickets are available now.
