It's for the installation of new windows, according to an announcement by the Hillsboro School District. The project is part of new bond-financed improvement projects.

The school will be getting new windows and weatherproofing, and the plywood was installed around the building for security.

Crews removed the old windows in late June, and two of the new windows already have been installed so as to test the seals around the windows. The rest are due to be put in soon.

This is the final year of financing for a $408 million construction bond approved by voters in 2017.
