The Out There Jazz Suite Project, described by musician Dan Bosshardt as "years in the making," features 10 original jazz quartet songs inspired by Hillsboro artworks. A concert on Aug. 21 will act as the release party for this album of locally produced music, he said in an email.

"Thanks to generous community and arts grant funding, Joe Aloia and I wrote and recorded ten original jazz quartet songs inspired by Hillsboro public artworks," Bosshardt said."The album is ready for digital and physical release and the music is ready to share at a live event."

The full quartet features Bosshardt on saxophone, Aloia on bass, Jonathan Swanson on piano and Stephen Pancerev on drums.

The free outdoor concert will be held at Jerry Willey Plaza in Orenco Station, from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21.

Another concert is planned for next spring at the Glenn & Viola Walters Cultural Arts Center, as part of the 2023 Performance Series. That is a ticketed event, also open to the public, on April 21.
