Washington County has long been the home of innovators, and guests will have a chance to view the museum’s exhibit “This Kalapuya Land,” take a closer look at primitive technology with Leland Gilsan’s Mobile Museum of Oregon Pre-History and check out the exhibit “Innovation in Washington County.” Live demonstrations and hands-on activities connecting visitors to primitive skills will be provided by Rewild Portland. Museum guests will also learn about the vibrant history that gave Washington County the nickname “Silicon Forest,” with special high-tech demonstrations and activities provided by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Robot Team, which will bring a tactical robot.

The Society of Women Engineers will provide hands-on engineering activities for kids. Participants will also have the chance to make a craft to take home. The event is free and open to the public. The museum is located at 120 E. Main St., Hillsboro.
