Avast ye, scurvy dog! Time to get ye to Pirates in the Grove
Each year around the end of October, the Halloween spirits take over Theatre in the Grove and transform it into a haunted theater.
This year, the theater is a ghostly pirate ship and pirates have taken over. It's up to you to find the treasure.
Pirates in the Grove, a live interactive experience, invites visitors to race down the aisle by way of longboat and join the crew of the 12 Captains.
Pirates in the Grove is open for "landlubbers" Oct. 26-31 from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person or $20 for a student group pass for up to six students.
A family-friendly version of the show that won't shiver your timbers will be offered Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 28 and 29, from 2 to 5 p.m. It includes a scavenger/treasure hunt for the kids and plenty of photo ops, as well as a live performance by the musical theater troupe from Forest Grove Dance Arts. Individual tickets are also $5, with a family pass available for $20 (two adults and up to four children.)
On Halloween, Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 4 to 6 p.m., admission to Pirates in the Grove is free during the Trick or Treat the Merchants event.
Theatre in the Grove is located at 2028 Pacific Ave.
