SUNDAY, JULY 4

Pro baseball

Mariners 4, Rangers 1 — Luis Torrens hit a three-run homer and Shed Long Jr. a solo shot. Chris Flexen allowed four hits and one run while striking out five and walking none in six innings as Seattle (45-40) took the three-game home series against Texas.

Hops 6, Emeralds 1 — Hillsboro (22-30) won its third game in a row against Eugene after losing the first 10 games of the season against the Emeralds.

Spencer Brickhouse hit a two-run homer and Dominic Canzone and Tristin English solo shots. Kenny Hernandez gave up three hits and one run while striking out nine and walking none in seven innings.

AquaSox 7, Canadians 4 — At Everett, John Aiello hit a two-run homer and Tanner Morris a solo shot for Vancouver (27-27).

SATURDAY, JULY 3

Pro baseball

Rangers 7, Mariners 3 — John Hicks hit two solo homers and Eli White a three-run shot, all off Marco Gonzales, as Texas beat Seattle at T-Mobile Park.

Gonzales gave up seven hits and seven runs (six earned) in 3 1/3 innings. Kyle Seager homered for the Mariners.

AquaSox 11, Canadians 5 — Kaden Polcovich hit a grand slam and Austin Shenton a two-run shot in Everett's home win over Vancouver.

Hops 8, Emeralds 5 — Hillsboro won its second game in a row against Eugene at Ron Tonkin Field. Eduardo Diaz hit a three-run homer.

FRIDAY, JULY 2

Pro baseball

Mariners 5, Rangers 4, 10 innings — Jake Fraley's infield single plated Jake Bauers with the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as Seattle beat Texas in the first of nine games at T-Mobile Park.

Seattle rallied from 3-0 down. Fraley homered and, later in the eighth inning, Luis Torrens tied it with a homer and J.P Crawford's single scored Fraley with the go-ahead run. But, the Rangers tied it in the ninth on Jonah Heim's RBI double.

Hops 4, Emeralds 2 — At Ron Tonkin Field, Hillsboro ended a 10-game losing streak to Eugene. Jorge Barrosa had two hits, a run scored and an RBI.

Canadians 10, AquaSox 5 — At Everett, Vancouver had 17 hits. Rafael Lantigua had three hits, including a homer, three runs scored and two RBIs. Tanner Morris also homered and had three hits, two runs scored and three RBIs.

Pickles

Pickles 17, Rosebuds 1 — Connor Henriques had a homer and five RBIs and Gabe Skoro also homered as Portland of the West Coast League beat Portland of the Wild Wild West League.

THURSDAY, JULY 1

Pro baseball

Mariners 7, Blue Jays 2 — Seattle (43-39) won the three-game series with Toronto at Buffalo, N.Y. Jake Fraley and Shed Long Jr. each homered off Hyun Jin Ryu and Kyle Seager had two hits and two RBIs.

Yusei Kikuchi gave up five hits and one run while striking out six and walking one in seven innings. Marcus Semien had three hits, including a homer, for Toronto.

Seattle returns to T-Mobile Park for a nine-game homestand against Texas (July 2-4), New York Yankees (July 6-8) and Los Angeles Angels (July 9-11).

Emeralds 3, Hops 1 — At Ron Tonkin Field, Hillsboro lost its 10th consecutive game this season against Eugene. Armani Smith hit a two-run homer for Eugene

AquaSox 7, Canadians 3 — At Everett, Rafael Lantigua hit a three-run homer for Vancouver in the loss. Austin Shenton had three hits, two runs scored and four RBIs for Everett.

Pickles

Portland 17, Wenatchee 8 — Leo Mosby had three hits, including a homer, scored three runs and drove in five as the Pickles beat the host West Coast League team. Portland had 15 hits. Eamonn Lance also homered.

JUNE 30

Pickles

Portland 7, Wenatchee 2 — Five pitchers combined on a two-hitter with 15 strikeouts as the Pickles won on the road. Brad McVay struck out eight and allowed one hit aver five innings for the win.

Matt Jew and Ivan Luna hit home runs for Portland.

Pro Baseball

Mariners 9, Blue Jays 7 — Dylan Moore's three-run home run in the 10th inning was the difference for Seattle on Wednesday at Buffalo, New York.

Moore had three hits. Kyle Seager and Mitch Haniger also homered for the Mariners. JP Crawford had three hits and scored two runs.

Kendall Graveman pitched 1 2/3 innings for the win and Drew Steckenrider pitched the 10th for the save.

The Mariners and Blue jays play at 10:07 a.m. Thursday before Seattle returns home for nine games.

Emeralds 6, Hops 3 — At Ron Tonkin Field, Eugene scored four runs in the second inning to build an eatly 6-1 lead and four pitchers limited Hillsboro to four singles.

AquaSox 2, Canadians 1 — At Everett, Vancouver lost its fourth game in a row. Everett scored single runs in the first two innings and three AquaSox pitchers scattered five hits.

JUNE 29

Pickles

Portland 17, Wenatchee 3 — A seven-run second inning set the tone as the Pickles romped in a West Coast League road game.

Matt Jew went 3-for-4 with a home run and three runs scored. Jacob Jablonski homered and knocked in five runs. Ryan Guardino and I Luna each had two hits and scored three runs.

The Pickles outhit the AppleSox 15-5.

Jared Villalobos struck out six over five innings for the pitching win.

Pro baseball

Blue Jays 9, Mariners 3 — At Buffalo, New York, Toronto had 15 hits including home runs from Marcus Semien and Bo Bichette. Simien knocked in five runs.

Ty France's three-run home run in the sixth inning acounted for Seattle's runs. France also had a double.

Chris Flexen, Rafeal Montero and Will Vest each gave up three runs.

Mariners' pitcher Hector Santiago was suspended 10 games for having a foreign substance on his glove. Santiago was enjected cfrom a Sunday game against the White Sox after umpires took his glove and ruled he had a foreign substance on it.

Santiago, who said it was only rosin and sweat, will appeal the suspension and undisclosed fine. He will be eligible to pitch during the appeal.

Emeralds 8, Hops 2 — At Ron Tonkin Field, Eugene broke open the game with a four-run eighth inning that featured three walks and a throwing error as three runs scored on a one-out single.

Hillsboro shortstop Blaze Alexander was 2 for 2 with a walk. The Hops finished with six hits, the Emeralds with 12.

AquaSox 15, Canadians 10 — Host Everett scored eight runs in the bottom of the first and won a slugfest despite home runs from Vancouver's Cameron Eden, Ryan Gold and Spencer Horowitz.
