Gunman shoots vehicle in Rock Creek parking dispute
Washington County Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a gunman apparently opened fire over a bad parking job.
The shooting was reported around 3:22 a.m. on Sunday, June 16, near the intersection of Northwest Rock Creek Drive and Landing Drive in Rock Creek, according to a news release.
Authorities say the suspect fired at least two bullets into a 2007 BMW 3-series sedan, shattering the vehicle's rear window and puncturing the trunk. The people inside the vehicle were not harmed, however.
"The investigation revealed that right before the shooting, the suspect complained about how the BMW had been parked at a nearby business," officers say.
WSCO's violent crimes unit continues to investigate, and asks anyone with information to call 503-846-2700. The Hillsboro Police Department also assisted deputies at the scene.
