Brought to you by Lake Oswego Realtor Justin Harnish - Harnish Properties - REAL ESTATE INSIDER -

Justin Harnish, Harnish PropertiesWe've been fortunate the last several years to see such strong growth in real estate. With another year coming to a close, what can we expect from the real estate market in 2019?

There's no crystal ball when it comes to predicting real estate, but there are some indications that the fast-rising home prices of the last several years may begin to slow.

According to Realtor.com's 2019 National Housing Forecast, home prices are expected to continue to rise by about 2.2 percent next year.

While there is still stiff competition for home buyers, inventory may show signs of increasing slightly in 2019.

January typically isn't the month when we see a lot of new inventory, but we tend to begin to hear the rumblings from the market as it starts to get ready for the spring "selling season." If you're looking to buy a home in 2019, start doing your research now and be ready to act quickly if you find a good deal. You may find a better deal earlier in the year before more buyers start looking as spring comes around.

Lake Oswego continues to be a top destination for buyers looking for strong schools, civic leadership and continued urban growth. We feel lucky to live in such a great city, and we look forward to showing all Lake Oswego has to offer!
