Justin Harnish, Harnish PropertiesWhile facing the prospect of continued quarantine in your home can be daunting, this time of isolation also provides an opportunity to get your spring cleaning done and complete any home projects you've been neglecting during the winter months.

To make your home feel as warm and inviting as possible, replace light bulbs and brighten up dark corners. Consider adding a fresh coat of paint to your walls in a light, neutral color that will make your rooms feel bright and open. Clean carpets, dust bookshelves and make sure your windows sparkle.

This can also be a great time to declutter. Gather up things you don't use anymore and store them in one place to donate at a later date.

When you take a break for fresh air, check out your home's curb appeal. Are your bushes trimmed? Does your landscaping need freshening up? Are your driveway and sidewalks clean?

This is a time of uncertainty for everyone, and if you had plans to buy or sell it's likely they've been put on hold temporarily. Focus on getting your home looking its best. You'll not only feel better during the long hours indoors, but you'll be a step ahead when the time comes.

At Harnish Properties, we care deeply about our local community and our neighbors in Lake Oswego. Stay healthy and give us a call with any questions!
