What does Memorial Day and a Medicare plan have in common? Veterans!
Memorial Day, on May 30th this year, is an important annual holiday to honor those who have died in our nation's wars.
Medicare is a national government health plan that often works in collaboration with private insurance carriers to help those who are disabled and/or turning 65, and who qualify for Medicare, to pay for their healthcare cost. Some of these plans, are designed to support Veterans.
All private Medicare Advantage plans whether veteran-focused or not, must pass very strict scrutiny by Medicare to gain annual approval and certification before being presented to the public. Then annually certified, licensed agents pick the Medicare plan/s available to you. Secondly, your medical providers list. Next, medications are researched to then narrow down the plan(s) you decide enroll in.
To discuss your Medicare options at no cost to you, choose an agent/agency that is a broker. An agent with a few insurance carriers, or even an individual insurance carrier can only talk to you about the limited plan/s to what Medicare has ap- proved for them to offer.
