Axia moves to larger offices
"Let's get you home."
That's the slogan of Axia Home Loans, and it is one that brings to mind action and support. Headquartered in Seattle, the company is growing; so much so that the Lake Oswego staff recently moved into new offices at 5005 Meadows Road, Suite 150 in Lake Oswego.
An "Axia is Growing! Come Celebrate Our Success" party is being held today July 13, from 4-7 at the offices. All are welcome to attend and enjoy music, wine and hors d'oeuvres being served.
But the move isn't the only reason for the celebration. Axia President and CEO Gellert Dornay notes that the company is marking its 10th anniversary. He founded the company in 2007, at the beginning of the Great Recession, with an eye on the mission of creating sustainable homeownership through responsible lending in the communities in which the employees lived and worked. The company has grown more than 20 percent year after year, while offering superior customer service and adhering to the highest ethical standards.
Axia, which means "value" in Greek, is the only 100 percent employee-owned, full-service mortgage banking firm in the nation.
"Gellert has empowered us to grow the business, and has provided us with the tools to do so — forward-thinking technology, and education for both employees and clients," said Gina Fanuchhi, the business development director for Axia's Lake Oswego office.
Fanuchhi said that Dornay founded the company on the concept of taking care of people. He had worked for large corporations and recognized that their focus was on generating more wealth for the members of the board, rather than what would be best for customers. Dornay sought to create something better, and he built a model focused on the best interests of customers and employees.
Every client is educated on each stage of pre-approval and underwriting, which is based on a comprehensive creditworthiness analysis, and done by local experts who know the community. Getting the right kind of loan is also important.
The Lake Oswego office has seven loan originators who have Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist credentials. The company thrives by providing access to cutting-edge technology and a wide array of products and customized lending solutions.
Kathy Weaver is the branch manager and senior mortgage adviser; Scott Mattern is the area sales manager.
The complete staff at Axia Home Loans invites the public to attend the celebration today.
