There are no plans to consolidate two Lake Oswego realty offices following the merger of Windermere Stellar and Realty Trust Group announced last month.
The newly minted Windermere Realty Trust will maintain both offices located a quarter mile from each other with a combined 100-plus real estate agents, according to Realty Trust Group co-founder and owner Todd Prendergast.
"The idea is we will co-exist but have a lot of cross-pollination as far as meetings, social gatherings, networking and manager support," Prendergast told The Review. "Ultimately, both companies will experience enhancements from both sides. The end result will be having offerings the collective whole benefits from in everything from marketing technology, education and networking."
The merger became effective on Nov. 1, combining Windermere's 395 agents across 11 offices with Realty Trust's 135 split between four locations.
Prendergast will join Windermere's ownership as part of the Windermere Realty Trust leadership team serving as co-owner and co-president along with Brian Allen of Windermere Stellar.
"It's something we've been working on for a very long time. It was a very thoughtful and considered move that went through an extensive process to come together," Prendergast said. "The key piece is that we've determined there is strong alignment in terms of our culture and shared values. We have very like-minded agents. This also gives us more scale and capacity to bring greater service to the agents and their clients."
Prendergast said he expects to see the company's presence in the Lake Oswego market continue to grow, both in real estate activity as well as the business' support of the community through its foundation which uses proceeds donated from agent's sales to connect with the communities Windermere Realty Trust operates in.
