Sept. 15, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — The Portland Chapter of the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) invites all to attend "Investing from Start to Finish," at the Holiday Inn Wilsonville, 25425 SW 95th Ave., Wilsonville. Speakers include Craig Israelsen, Ph.D., Bruce Johnstone, CFA, Brian Adams, Ph.D., and Ryan Reeh.Israelsen, from Utah Valley University, will hold morning general and afternoon breakout sessions to discuss "A Diversified Investment Portfolio with a Plan" and "The Everyday Math of Retirement Accounts." Adams, from University of Portland's Pamplin School of Business, will also hold morning general and afternoon breakout sessions in which he will cover "Technology for Informed Investment Decisions" and "Beginner's Guide to Investing and Wealth Accumulation."Johnstone, from Fidelity Investments, will present a keynote on his "Trends to Watch for Profits Tomorrow." Reeh, from AAII, will talk about "Features and Benefits of AAII Membership" including special offers that will be available only to this event's attendees.Cost is $69.95 per person at the door. Sept. 18, 7 to 9:30 a.m. — 2018 Candidate Forum and Breakfast at Oswego Lake Country Club, 20 Iron Mountain Blvd., Lake Oswego. Features the eight candidates for Lake Oswego City Council, with a question and answer session targeted toward business. Cost is $25 for chamber members, $35 for non-members. Sept. 21 — Lake Oswego Chamber networking cancelled.

Sept. 28, 8 a.m. — Lake Oswego Chamber networking at Lake Oswego Adult Community Center, 505 G Ave., Lake OSwego. This is the quarterly fundraiser, this time benefitting Lake Oswego Meals on Wheels. Call Lynn Brokaw at 503-635-9801 for details.
