The Mountain Park Family Concert series continues with performances by Red Yarn and Mo Phillips at 4 p.m. March 16 at Mountain Park Recreation Center, 2 Jefferson Parkway. The concert series features a variety of genre, all of which provide family entertainment.

Red Yarn is a folk music performer and teaching artist. With his music and puppetry he strives to bring American folklore to life for all ages. Phillips plays rock and roll and writes kids’ songs. The two often perform together.

The concert series is produced by award-winning performer Aaron Nigel Smith as a benefit for One World Chorus, a nonprofit organization founded by Smith committed to share music with children around the world.

This is the third concert in the series, which follows Smith’s Rox in Sox Children’s Music and Book Festival held in August.

“I am excited to partner with Mountain Park Recreation Center to bring more quality children’s entertainment to the city of Lake Oswego and surrounding communities,” said Smith. “After such a positive response to the Rox in Sox festival, I wanted to find a way to inspire families to sing, dance and play together more, not only in summer, but throughout the year.”

Tickets to the concert are $5 each and can be purchased online at

The April concert will feature Smith and the One World Chorus and the May concert will feature the Grammy Award-winning and two-time Parent Choice Award-winning Okee Dokee Brothers.
