West Linn artist Josh Gross captures the story of one joyful day in 2017, using symbols depicting iconic imagery of the Northwest and contemporary sociopolitical views. These compositions explore living life to the fullest and finding usefulness even in negative experiences.

A graduate of Marylhurst University's Fine Arts program, Gross' exhibit of high-quality ink jet prints, "Happy Daze," will be on display through Oct. 27 in Clackamas Community College's Alexander Gallery, located in the Niemeyer Center, 19600 Molalla Ave., Oregon City.

The public is invited to an artist reception taking place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 5 in Alexander Gallery. Gross will speak about his work at 1 p.m. The event is free and open to all.

Admission to the Alexander Gallery is free. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
