West Linn ceramic artist Sara Swink and members of the Clay Circle Studio will hold the seventh annual holiday show and sale featuring original hand-built ceramic sculpture, ornaments, pottery and gifts. The show takes place Dec. 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 461 Alderwood Drive in West Linn.

The show started as a collaboration between Swink and Ann Munson, a neighbor who for many years has hosted 20-plus artists offering their wares in her popular Artists' Greenhouse Sale on the first weekend in December. Munson is taking a year off, and will instead display a series of her barnyard animal paintings at Clay Circle Studio. She makes handpainted paste paper, which she collages into a panel and then overpaints with acrylic.

Guest artist Alison O'Donoghue, a Portland-based contemporary folk artist, will display colorful work featuring the playful next to the sinister, giving the paintings a sense of humor and the complexity of an unfolding story.

Members of Clay Circle Studio participating in the show include Judy Christie, Bunny Cramer, Jane Luthy, Barbara Paanakker, Eileen Parfrey, Pam Rogers, Kathy Scott and Sally Squire.

Clay Circle Studio is located in a 2,000-square foot building on Swink's property in the Bosky Dell neighborhood of West Linn. Within the building O'Donoghue's paintings will be featured in the Finishing Room Gallery, a 9-foot by 12-foot room behind glass doors.

Admission is free.
