Classic Wines Auction announces winter Winemaker Dinners

Classic Wines Auction, consistently recognized as one of the top ten charity wine auction in the country by Wine Spectator magazine, has announced its Winter Winemaker Dinner series, scheduled for Feb. 17 through 21. Held at select local restaurants three times a year, these unique dinners (and one brunch) partner esteemed winemakers from Oregon with top-rated Portland chefs for exquist, multi-course meals. Proceeds benefit five local nonprofits organizations: Metropolitan Family Service (MFS), YWCA Clark County, Friends of the Children, New Avenues for Youth and Unity Center for Behavioral Health.

The brunch will be held at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 17 at the Nightwood Society with Et Fille Wine and Woven Wine Works; cost is $75 per person.

All dinners begin at 6:30 p.m., with eight dinners offered Tuesday, Feb. 19, four offered Wednesday, Feb. 20 and six offered Thursday, Feb. 21. Prices range from $100 to $150.

Sabrozon Mexican Restaurant adding live music

Sabrozon Mexican Restaurant is adding live music every other Saturday evening featuring Canva Azul, playing Mexican and Latin American music. The band will play Jan. 5 and 19. All are invited to attend the free music.

Sabrozon is located at 17770 Pilkington Road in Lake Oswego. Family owned and operated, the restaurant serves "homemade family recipes with flavors staight from Sonora." To learn more visit or call 503-908-8488.

Creative Spirits Gallery to host artist's reception

Creative Spirits Art Galley is exhibiting the art of photographer Kate Ampersand and artist Robyn Lindsey during December and January. A reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Jan. 5 for Lindsey at the gallery, located within West Linn Lutheran Church, 20390 Willamette Drive, West Linn.

Lindsey's work is an expression of what she would like to encourage the world to be. She seeks to evoke hope in spaces of solitude.

Ampersand strives to to make images that are simultaneously beautiful and mysterious, creating a visual connection between the viewer and the world as she experiences it.

The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Saturday and Sunday mornigns and Tuesday evenings.

UCC to host classic guitarist Ryan Walsh

Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Willamette Falls will host classic guitarist Ryan Walsh in a concert at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at 710 6th St., Oregon City. Suggested donation is $20, which go towards upkeep of the historic Atkinscon Memorial Church.
