WL library seeking art exhibitors for 2019

The West Linn Public Library is calling for artists to apply for exhibiting their art in the libary during 2019. Applications must be receieved by 5 p.m. Monday. Jan. 28.

The library's community room gallery has hosted a montly rotating exhibit of art since the room was added in a 2002 building expansion. The library strives to present the best work in the widest possible range of media and styles throughout the year.

Artists will be selected by a committee comprised of artists and library staff members.

Annual Passes available at LO Golf Course

Want to play golf whenever you feel like it? You can purchase unlimited play passes for the Lake Oswego Public Golf Course. Cost for a single adult ages 18 through 59 is $750, and single seniors for ages 60 and over is $650. Passes are also available for couples (two cohabiting adults) at $1,000; add additional family members at $250 each or children at $200 each. A pass for single junior golfer is $500.

Portland International Guitar Series presents Judicael Perroy

Portland International Guitar Concert Series will present classical guitarist Judicael Perroy of France in concert at 8 p.m. Jan. 25 in the historic Eliot Chapel, 1011 S.W. 12th Ave., Portland OR 97205. Cheney-Parr exhibiting art in January

Sandy artist Leslie Cheney-Parr is exhibiting her watercolor art at the Walters Cultural Arts Center, 527 E. Main, Hillsboro, OR 97123 through Jan. 25, and with the Watercolor Society of Oregon at the Albany Public Library in Albany through Feb. 28. She is also exhibiting with the California Watercolor Association 49th National Exhibition in Pleasanton, Calif.

The Portland Ballet holding auditions

The Portland Ballet will hold auditions for new students Jan. 21 for its 2019 Summer Intensive, Second Semester Curriculum and Career Track programs. Auditions will be held at the TPB's studio, 6250 S.W. Capitol Hwy. in Portland. There is no registration fee.

This audition is for new students ages 11 to 22.

Who's on Third to present Big Band concert

Who's on Third Community Concert series will present Grand Jazz & Swing Band Jan. 20 at 3 p.m. at Woodburn United Methodist Church, 700 N. Cascade Drive in Woodburn. The small ensemble will play music by Glenn Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Duke Ellington and Gene Krupa, among other musicians.

The concert is free and open to all. A freewill offering will be taken to support the concert series. Refreshments will be provided at intermission.
