If you were in Lake Oswego parks and plazas a couple of weekends in June, it's likely you saw artists painting en plein air in preparation for Uncorked! Chronicle en Plein, the event hosted by the Arts Council of Lake Oswego. The exhibit opens Friday, July 12, with a reception from 5-7 p.m. at the Arts Council gallery, located at 510 and 520 First St. in downtown Lake Oswego.

Approximately 100 artists captured Lake Oswego scenes on canvases that will be on public display.

The Arts Council will award cash prizes to the top three works of art, selected by a panel of local artists and community members.

The exhibit will remain in the gallery through Sept. 20. In addition to the opening reception, First Friday receptions will be held from 5-7 p.m. Aug. 2 and Sept. 6.
