Twilight on the

Farm coming Sept. 7

Friends of Luscher Farm will present the third-annual Twilight on the Farm dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at Luscher Farm, 125 Rosemont Road, West Linn. Attendees can stroll the fields and enjoy a seasonally-inspired farm to table dinner prepared by Chef Pascal Chureau of Field and Vine with desserts prepared by On a Whim Studios and live music by the Dryland Farmers Band and dancing in the barn.

Tickets are $100 each until Aug. 15, then they increase to $120. A portion of the ticket price is tax-deductible. The party is limited to 150 guests.

Proceeds will benefit programs of Friends of Luscher Farm, which promotes programs and activities at Luscher Farm, including the Luscher School of Farm Internship, Children's Garden, community supported agriculture, habitat restoration and fundraising for infrastructure development.

Tee it up at the LO Golf Course

The Lake Oswego Golf Course is hosting a number of tournaments in the coming weeks and invites all to sign up to play.

The annual Summer Glow Ball Tournament will be held Aug. 17.

The Junior Championship and Skills Challenge takes place Aug. 23, and an adult "Big Break" style skills challenge will be held Aug. 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. for LPGAA members, followed by an all-comers public event from 4 to 7 p.m. Registration fee for the public event is $25.

The 30th-annual Lake Oswego Mayor's Championship and Hole-in-One Shootout is planned for Sept. 8.

Crave the Coast set for Sept. 28

Crave the Coast, an Ocean-to-Table Food Festival, will return to Garibaldi Sept. 28, to treat visitors to the bounty of Oregon's North Coast, a culinary destination. The festival will feature dozens of local food and beverage producers, food trucks serving fish and chips, chowder and mac n' cheese, cooking demonstrations, prize giveaways and an opportunity to meet the makers.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 28. The event was developed by Visit Tillamook Coast and is sponsored by the Port of Garibaldi, Tillamook Chamber of Commerce, Tillamook Creamery, Pacific Seafood, KTIL Radio, Pacific Supreme and Pelican Brewing Co. LO's annual photo contest open

Have a great photo on your phone? It just might be the perfect shot to enter in the 11th-annual City of Lake Oswego Photo Contest. This contest allows people the chance to see the city through your unique lens.

Categories include Life in Lake Oswego, Places in Lake Oswego, Plants and Wildlife in Lake Oswego, Positive Aging in Lake Oswego, Pets in Lake Oswego, plus a Youth category and Digitally Altered Photos.

Vintage or historic photos can be submitted for consideration in any of the categories.

In each category, cash prizes will be given for first, second and third place photos. Photos will be judged on technical quality, clarity and composition as well as having a flair for the unexpected and the ability to capture a picture-perfect moment.

Deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Sept. 9. Winners will be announced in early November.
