Through Aug. 17 — Attend the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo at 694 NE 4th Ave., Canby. For complete schedule visit clackamas.us/fair or call 503-266-1136.

Through Aug. 18 — See Lakewood Theatre Company's production of "Matilda, The Musical" at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State St., Lake Oswego. For tickets and show times visit lakewood-center.org or call the box office at 503-635-3901. Perfect entertainment for the whole family.

Aug. 14 (2 to 4 p.m.) — Attend the Summer Reading Party at Rossman Park, 555 4th St., Lake Oswego. Hosted by the Lake Oswego Public Library the event features games, snacks, entertainment by Gumboat Dancer Michael Moloi and Not Your Average Joe Mishkin, a balloon sculptor. Free and open to all.

Aug. 14-27 — Broadway Rose Theatre Company presents "Cinderella," a children's musical at the New Stage, 12850 SW Grant Ave., Tigard. Shows are at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Ongoing through Sept. 20 — View the 2019 exhibit "Uncorked! Chronicle en Plein Air" at the ARTspace Gallery at the Arts Council of Lake Oswego, 510 First St., Lake Oswego. Artists painted in Lake Oswego parks, plazas and vineyards in June, this exhibit showcases their finished works. The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and or by appointment. Aug. 17 (4 to 6 p.m.) — Artists reception at Creative Spirit Gallery, West Linn Lutheran Church, 20390 Willamette Drive, West Linn. Artists include painters of Local Color, a critique group, and photographer Natalie Van Schaik. Free and open to all. The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Aug. 18 (4 to 7 p.m.) — Frogwood Auction at White Stag Building Atrium, 70 NW Couch St., Portland. Event features silent and live auction of art made by Frogwood Collaborative artists, with wine and appetizers. Free. Proceeds will fund educational opportunity grants for artists and future Frogwood gatherings.

Aug. 19 (7 p.m.) — The Music Monday concert at Lake Theater and Cafe, 106 N. State St., Lake Oswego features Birch Pereira and the Gin Joints singing every style of mid-20th century American music. Doors open at 6 p.m. Learn more online at laketheatercafe.com.

Aug. 20 (1 to 3 p.m.) — Family Cookies and Coloring at the West Linn Public Library, 1595 Burns St., West Linn. Escape the heat and drop in for some relaxing coloring in the community room. Cookies, lemonade and coloring supplies will be provided. All ages welcome.

Aug. 23 (6 to 10 p.m.) — Don't miss Lakewood Bandstand, a pro-am dance competition taking place at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State St., Lake Oswego. Tickets are $150 each and benefit ALS Association, National MS Society, Children's Cancer Association and the children's programs at Lakewood Center for the Arts.
