The Arts Council of Lake Oswego has announced the citywide celebration to unveil the new sculptures in the Gallery Without Walls will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 14 at The Windward, 130 A Ave., Lake Oswego.

The family friendly event includes food, fun and art created on the spot to buy and take home. It also affords attendees an opportunity to meet many of this year's sculptors and learn how their art transforms from idea and inspiration to three-dimensional sculpture.

Lake Oswego's public art program is unique, as new pieces are loaned to the city each year.

With the combination of both temporary and permanent pieces, more than 80 sculptures are displayed in Lake Oswego.

As permanent sculptures are added to the collection and become much loved fixtures throughout the city, the rotating sculptures allow the community to enjoy new artwork, processes, themes, media, styles and outstanding talent each year.

The celebration begins with a drawing rally from 3 to 4:30 p.m., artist talks from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m., dedication of new sculptures and People's Choice at 4:30 p.m., followed by docent-led tours beginning at 4:45 p.m.

The event is free and all are welcome to attend.
