Sept. 13, 14 (7:30 p.m.) and 15 (2 p.m.) — See New Century Players production of "Suite Surrender" at Rex Putnam HS Blackbox Theater, 4950 SE Roethe Road, Milwaukie. Sept. 14 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) — Attend Youth Music Project's Open House and try out instruments, sing karaoke, enjoy musical entertainment and attend an early childhood demonstration class. You can even purchase an affordable used instrument to support YMP's mission to provide music education for all. Door prizes and more fun, all for free. YMP is located at 2015 8th Ave., West Linn. Sept. 14 (3 to 5 p.m.) — Attend the annual Gallery Without Walls public art celebration taking place at The Windward, 130 A Ave. Lake Oswego. Meet artists and hear about the latest sculptures added to the Gallery Without Walls. The event is free and includes food, art making and more fun.
Sept. 15 (4 p.m.) — The Lutheran Choral Association will open its 82nd season with a concert at Lake Oswego United Methodist Church, 1855 South Shore Blvd., Lake Oswego. The program includes traditional choral music to down-home Gospel. A freewill offering will be taken and refreshments will be served after the concert.
Sept. 17 (6:30 to 8:30 p.m.) — Learn to make floral arrangements and hand-rolled chocolates in a special working presented by Petals Flowers at Chocolates by Bernard, 440 5th St., Lake Oswego. Class includes flowers, champagne and chocolate for a fee of $75. Register online at petalsflowers.com.
