Harrison sets Christmas shows

Portland pianist and vocalist Michael Allen Harrison has released the dates of his annual Christmas at The Old Church concerts. The holiday tradition will take place Dec. 13 through 26; tickets range in price from $22.50 to $59.95.

Concert features Joni Harms

Western singer-songwriter Joni Harms and The Harms Way Band will present a free concert from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at Woodburn United Methodist Church, 700 N. Cascade Drive in Woodburn. A freewill offering will be taken, and refreshments will be available for purchase during intermission.

Harms and her band have earned numerous Academy of Western Music awards, including Album of the Year 2018, for "Lucky 13."

Marti Mendenhall

Marti Mendenhall to sing

Singer songwriter Marti Mendenhall will present her first concert after a two-year hiatus Sept. 22 at The Manor Underground, 2122 SE Sparrow St., Milwaukie. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to bring an appetizer to share and beverages. The program will include a blend of jazz standards, band originals and some pop and rock classics. The band features Matt Tabor on keyboard, Ross Garlow on bass, and Tyson Stubelek on drums. Tickets are $15 each online at eventbrite.com/MartiMendenhall.

Lutheran Choral Association event

The Lutheran Choral Association will open its 82nd season with a concert at 4 p.m. Sept. 15 at Lake Oswego United Methodist Church, 1855 South Shore Blvd. in Lake Oswego. The concert is free and open to all. A freewill offering will be taken, and refreshments will be served after the concert. The choir is made of members of more than 80 churches and several denominations from the Vancouver/Portland area. Sue Thompson Armentrout directs the choir, accompanied by Karl Jurisons.
