Hear spooky organ music at LOUMC

Lake Oswego United Methodist Church invites all to attend an Organ Spooktacular Concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 at the church, located at 1855 South Shore Blvd., Lake Oswego.
LOUMC Music Director William Barnett will present an "Evening of Chilling Organ Music," featuring a program of varied music including J.S. Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" and "Funeral March of the Marionette" by Charles Gounod.
There also will be music from theater, movies and television such as "Game of Thrones," "Phantom of the Opera," "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Interstellar" and more. The concert will close with the technically dazzling French symphonic piece "Tu Es Petra" (You Art the Rock) by Henri Mulet.
Barnett will be joined by vocalist Chris Rust and pianist Gary Wayne Young. The concert also features live screening so audience members can get an up-close view of the action at the keyboards.
Barnett is a national concert artist, teacher and consultant who has enjoyed a lively career spanning nearly four decades.
He has established a long-held reputation for his crowd-pleasing concert programs, his passionate musicality and nimble technique and lively audience interaction at his music events.
The concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be received.
