Christ Church plans MAH concert

Christ Church Episcopal Parish in Lake Oswego is hosting Michael Allen Harrison in concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 28 in Maginnis Chapel at the church, 1060 Chandler Road, Lake Oswego. Harrison, a popular Portland pianist, composer and music advocate, is best known for his solo piano concerts and recordings.

Tickets are $25 at the door.

OHC to host annual holiday marketplace

Oswego Heritage House and Museum will hold its annual holiday open house and market from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the museum, located at 398 10th St., Lake Oswego. Admission and parking are free.

Vendors include Oregon Raw Honey, artist Elizabeth Goss, textiles from Carrie Bolt, Karen Harris, Granny Fi's shortbread, cookbooks by Sarah Yeoman, coasters and more from Bill Fantini, quilling by Paul Bartos, garden art and jewelry by Tracy Kilgore and Elizabeth Jewelry created by Molly Ray.

Beverages and snacks will be available.

WL's Kenny Lavitz to play at Cameo Cafe

West Linn musician Kenny Lavitz will be performing at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 at Cameo Cafe, 7703 N.E. 72nd Ave., Vancouver.

Mark calendar for 'Tis the Season of Soul

As its annual holiday concert the City of Lake Oswego will present the soulful sounds of saxophone sensation and Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee Patrick Lamb at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at Lake Oswego High School auditorium, 2500 Country Club Road, Lake Oswego.

The concert is a benefit for Lake Oswego Adult Community Center.

Holiday cookie daze happens Dec. 17

As a benefit for Lake Oswego Meals on Wheels, a holiday cookie decorating party will be held Dec. 17 from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Lake Oswego Adult Community Center.

All are invited to bring their families to decorate cookies for the Meals on Wheels recipients, and take home a dozen cookies for yourself. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended. Cost is $5 per person; call 503-635-3758. The event takes place at the LOACC, 505 G Ave., Lake Oswego.

Scan Fair 2019 set for Dec. 7-8

All are invited to enjoy the sights, tastes and traditions of a Nordic Christmas during Scan Fair 2019 taking place Dec. 7 and 8 at Portland's Veteran Memorial Coliseum Exhibit Hall.

The event runs 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults, $20 for families, seniors and students are $9 and children under 12 are admitted free.
