Congratulations to the following Lake Oswego scholars, who have been recognized by online schools, colleges and universities across the country:

Azusa Pacific University

Lake Oswego residents Mia Cywinski and Kaylee Nicoll have been named to the Dean's List at Azusa Pacific University, earning a grade point average of 3.5 or better for the spring 2018 semester.

George Fox University

Nine Lake Oswego students were among more than 800 undergraduate, adult degree and graduate-level students who received diplomas from George Fox University this spring: Janeeta Beck, Bachelor of Arts in Finance; Derek Cranley, Bachelor of Arts in Management and Organizational Leadership; Mikaela Easterlin, Master of Arts in Teaching; Tanya Gore, Master of Arts in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling; Daniel Griffith, Bachelor of Arts in Marketing; Katherine Maginnis, Master of Arts in Teaching; Megan Mandel, Master of Arts in Teaching; Amador Marcano, Doctor of Physical Therapy; and Suzanne Schmidt, Doctor of Education.

Meanwhile, several Lake Oswego residents earned Dean's List recognition at George Fox for the spring 2018 semester by recording a 3.5 grade point average or above on 12 or more hours of graded work. They include Alexa Aldridge, Joshua Bell, Greg Conan, Daniel Griffith, Nika Griffith, Seth Griffith, Isaac Petersen and Kylee Wiseman.

Gonzaga University

Lake Oswego High School grad Zachary Albertson has been named to the President's List at Gonzaga University for Spring 2018. Students must earn a grade point average between 3.85 and 4.0 to make the list.

Oregon Connections Academy

Lake Oswego residents Evan Holliday, Jessi Mahoney, John Meyn and Kyle Stover were among the students who graduated June 9 from Oregon Connections Academy. The tuition-free online school held an in-person commencement for its 10th senior class at the State Fairgrounds in Salem.

Oregon Institute of Technology

Two Lake Oswego residents were awarded degrees June 17 during commencement exercises at the Oregon Institute of Technology's Wilsonville campus. Caleb Ives graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Josh Vallely graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

On June 16, Jacob Espinosa of Lake Oswego graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from OIT's Klamath Falls campus.

Phi Kappa Phi

Lake Oswego resident Gregory Rainey has been initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Rainey is a student at Portland State University. Membership in Phi Kappa Phi is by invitation only; just the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible.

Tufts University

Allison Regan of Lake Oswego has earned a spot on the Spring 2018 Dean's List at Tufts University. Dean's List honors at Tufts require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

Tulane University

Haley Shaw of Lake Oswego was one of nearly 3,000 students awarded degrees May 19 by Tulane University. Shaw actually earned two degrees: a bachelor's in Science Management and a master's in Accounting.

University of San Diego

Two Lake Oswego residents graduated May 27 from the University of San Diego. Kathryn Ghiorso earned a bachelor's degree in Environmental & Ocean Sciences; Nathan Lambka graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor's de-gree in Accountancy and Finance.

Whitworth University

Lake Oswego resident Duncan Brewster has been awarded a bachelor's in Business Administration (Cum Laude) from Whitworth University.
