Forest Hills shows school spirit with a 'Falcon Fly-By'
Forest Hills Elementary School found some creative ways to keep connected during school closures.
Like many other schools across the country right now, Forest Hills organized a car parade they called a "Falcon Fly-By."
"The staff lined up — with appropriate social distancing — around the school perimeter, and the school families proceeded in cars and on bikes around the school, waving and blowing kisses and sending virtual hugs to teachers and staff," Forest Hills parent Kristy Cory said.
Forest Hills secretaries Wende Milner and Nicole Merino posted a video on Seesaw for students Monday morning with their regular morning announcements. Cory said the video included the Pledge of Allegiance, birthday announcements and knock-knock jokes.
"All of these efforts are so valuable in making younger students feel connected to their school community," Cory said.
