Lake Oswego students set to perform in Portland Ballet show
Lake Oswego students Tegan Mansell and Hayate Mandelbaum will soon take the stage at a Portland Ballet show.
On May 13 and 14, the Portland Ballet company will hold "Current/Classics," a mixed-repertory program that showcases classic and contemporary performances from the academy's advanced company dancers.
The event will feature four performances ranging from "Q," a new work by Nick Le-Jurica, to "Concerto in F" as a tribute to the classics. The production will also have special guest performances by Shaun Keylock Company and works by award-winning Portland choreographers Josie Moseley and Gregg Bielemeier.
Mansell and Mandelbaum are no strangers to the production company. Mansell, a senior at Oregon Charter Academy, has trained in the Portland Ballet's career track program for the past few years and. performed in production of "A Christmas Carol" in November 2021.
Mandelbaum, a junior at Oregon Charter Academy, has been a dancer at the Portland Ballet company for over a decade.
For entry to the show, audience members will be required to show proof of vaccination, or a negative antigen rapid COVID-19 test taken within 24 hours.
