7/27/17 2:54 p.m. A Nissan Versa plowed into a mailbox on Palisades Terrace Drive. No injuries were reported.

7/28/17 7:36 a.m. A semi truck knocked down a City sign and damaged a Comcast cable box while trying to navigate the intersection at Iron Mountain and Lakeview boulevards.


7/30/17 11:02 a.m. A 2016 Buick Encore reported stolen from a garage on Sunnyhill Drive was quickly located in Vancouver, where police arrested a woman named Rachelle Juarez and released the vehicle to its owners.


7/25/17 3:15 p.m. A silver-and-red Diamondback bicycle taken from the back deck of a home on Hofer Court in the spring was located at an All That Glitters pawn shop.

7/30/17 1:48 p.m. A bag containing clothing, a hammock, CDs and registration information was taken from an unlocked Toyota Corolla on Marylcreek Drive. Similar break-ins also were reported from another unlocked Corolla on Marylcreek Drive (a bag containing clothing), from an Acura MDX on Brookhurst Drive (golf clubs) and a Mercedez SUV on Marylcreek Drive (a black leather bag containing kids' clothes).

7/31/17 10:57 a.m. Landscapers hired to do some trimming at a home on Twin Fir Road stole two plants from the yard, a homeowner told police.


7/25/17 10:55 a.m. A woman told police that someone had created and cashed checks using her account information.

7/25/17 3:04 p.m. A scammer acquired a debit card using a Lake Oswego woman's personal information.

7/27/17 11:46 a.m. Someone opened a Comcast account using a Lake Oswego woman's personal information.

7/28/17 9:39 a.m. Someone tried to open a credit card account in a Lake Oswego woman's name and tried to have her mail forwarded out of state.

7/31/17 1:03 p.m. A woman told police that someone had used her husband's name to put the couple's mail on hold. They were able to retrieve the mail at the post office, though, and nothing appeared to be missing.


7/22/17 12:39 a.m. Police helped a man order a ride from Uber after finding him lying in a median near George Rogers Park.

7/22/17 4 a.m. The suspicious man with a flashlight on Ash Street turned out to just be a neighbor looking for his pet.

7/22/17 718 a.m. Homeowners away on vacation couldn't remember if they had left the stove on, so they called the LOFD. Firefighters used a key from a lockbox behind the house to gain entry and determined that the oven and stove had indeed been turned off.

7/22/17 11 a.m. A passerby reported a pothole near the intersection of Berwick Road and Ellis Avenue. There are now cones placed around the hazard, thanks to police, and maintenance crews have been alerted.

7/22/17 5:57 p.m. An inebriated young man asked a woman to call Uber for him. She called police instead, and officers cited the guy for being a minor in possession before transporting him to a detox center.

7/22/17 11:44 p.m. A group of juveniles were reportedly cussing and talking about drugs in the parking lot of Our Lady of the Lake Parish. Police suggested they move along.

7/23/17 2:49 a.m. Three underage drinkers who had apparenly consumed a bit too much alcohol were reportedly throwing up on Maple Street, prompting a call from a concerned neighbor. Police cited all three boys for being minors in possession.

7/24/17 8:45 a.m. When a homeowner on Hillshire Drive thought she smelled a natural gas leak in her garage, she called firefighters. Turns out it wasn't natural gas, though; it was gasoline she smelled, with the odor coming from an open gas can. Firefighters moved the can into the shade outside and told the woman to leave it there until she could find a cap.

7/24/17 1:08 p.m. A woman who was described as either "emotional" or drunk caused a ruckus inside a Thai restaurant on State Street until her husband arrived to pick her up.

7/25/17 5 a.m. A worried father told police that his 14-year-old son and the boy's 14-year-old friend had disappeared overnight while camping in the backyard. Police searched the area but were unable to find the boys, who had last been seen just before midnight. And then shortly after 9 a.m., the wandering teens returned home safe and sound.

7/25/17 9:37 a.m. A woman who had "issues" while crossing the U.S.-Mexico border asked police to confirm that she is in possession of her Honda Fit, even though the U.S. Border Patrol believes the vehicle is still in Mexico.

7/25/17 9:40 p.m. A woman told police that juveniles in a red Kia were harassing her and calling her names, but police were unable to locate the hooligans.

7/25/17 11:55 p.m. Police were unable to locate the young scofflaw who had been seen sneaking into the Lake Grove Swim Park, but they did find an abandoned wallet, keys, iPhone and clothing. All of the belongings were taken to the boy's home and left with his father.

7/27/17 10:08 a.m. A woman walking on Edenberry Drive asked a homeowner to call police because someone was trying to kill her, and then left with a man in a white Volvo. Police were able to track down the couple, though, and determined that all was OK.

7/27/17 4:17 p.m. An injured bunny was taken to a veterinanrian's office after being found on Lakeview Boulevard.

7/27/17 10:14 p.m. A group of loud teens were reportedly clapping, chanting and banging on the playground equipment at Our Lady of the Lake School — until police arrived. The kids agreed to move along.

7/28/17 9:07 a.m. A man who was asked last year to stop taking fruit from a backyard on Carman Drive showed up at the home again, this time with a ladder, and ignored the posted "No trespassing" signs. The pilfering picker was gone, though, by the time police arrived.

7/28/17 12:28 p.m. A woman told police that she believed her son may have used drugs while staying with a friend. Officers advised her to take the boy to a doctor for a drug test.

7/28/17 12:35 p.m. Police are trying to locate the owner of a drone that was found by a walker on a trail south of George Rogers Park.

7/28/17 2:07 p.m. The owner of an electric vehicle was spotted charging his car's battery at a City outlet in Westlake Park. He agreed to unplug after police directed him to better charging alternatives.

7/28/17 4:07 p.m. A putter-carrying man was warned about trespassing and asked to leave the grounds of the Oswego Lake Country Club after it was determined that he was not a member.

7/28/17 5:35 p.m. Good Samaritans were able to rescue a dog that had somehow gotten stuck on the roof of the Lake Theater on State Street.

7/29/17 9:13 a.m. Police told employees at a gas station on South Shore Boulevard that they would be cited if officers received any more complaints about their dogs. The animals had allegedly attacked another dog earlier in the morning at a home on Fern Place.

7/30/17 4:36 p.m. People leaving George Rogers Park keep walking across a man's property on Furnace Street, and he's not at all happy about it.

7/30/17 11:57 p.m. A caller told police that "a friend" was stuck in handcuffs. Advice and options were dispensed, no questions asked.

7/31/17 6 p.m. What looked to a neighbor like a Honda Civic doing cookies and peeling out on Tualata Lane was actually a 17-year-old learning to drive.

7/31/17 10:22 p.m. An unruly customer refused to pay after his credit card was declined at a business on First Street. Keep it up, police told him, and he could be trespassed from the location.

8/1/17 2:31 a.m. A City employee tossed trash "quite loudly" into a dumpster in Millennium Plaza Park, prompting one nearby resident to report that he'd heard a gunshot.
