Clackamas County is accepting public comments as it gets ready to replace former Rep. Ann Lininger

Clackamas County is now accepting public comments regarding the appointment of a successor to former state Rep. Ann Lininger in House District 38.

Four candidates — Lake Oswego City Councilors Joe Buck and Theresa Kohlhoff, political consultant Andrea Salinas and public relations executive Neil Simon — are in the running to replace Lininger, who was sworn in this week as a Clackamas County Circuit Court judge.

Clackamas County and Multnomah County commissioners will hold a joint session on Wednesday, Sept. 13, to interview candidates and select a replacement. In advance, they are accepting public comments — both electronically and via snail mail — until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7. The comments will become part of the official record.

Comments can be sent to Clackamas County's Kevin Moss, either at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or at Suite 450, Public Services Building, 2051 Kaen Road, Oregon City, Oregon 97045.

The appointment meeting will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 13 at the Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department's Palisades building, 1500 Greentree Road in Lake Oswego.
