Adult Community Center will move its meal service to the Lake Oswego Municipal Golf Course during kitchen renovations

ACC KITCHEN CLOSURE: Starting this week, the kitchen at the Adult Community Center (505 G Ave.) will be closed while workers install a new slip-resistant floor. Until the work is completed, meals usually served at the center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will be served at the Municipal Golf Course (17525 S.W. Stafford Road) instead; reservations can still be made by calling 503-635-3758, and shuttle rides to the golf course will be available if arranged in advance. Meals on Wheels drivers will also pick up their meals at the golf course, but the food will be delivered as usual. All other scheduled programs and services will continue during construction at the ACC; no cancellations are anticipated.

SALINAS HOSTS TOWN HALL (JAN. 18): State Rep. Andrea Salinas will hold a town hall at 5 p.m. Thursday in City Hall (380 A Ave.) to talk about her preparations for the upcoming legislative session and discuss one of her priorities: a Clean Energy Jobs Bill. A representative from the Oregon Environmental Council will provide a full briefing on the legislation, and Salinas will answer questions from the audience.

ARTS & CRAFTS STUDIO (JAN. 20): On Saturday mornings, the focus is on art at the Lake Oswego Public Library (706 Fourth St.). Bring an art or craft project to work on, browse the library's collection of art and craft books, talk to other artists, explore art online or get technical help with projects and research techniques. Bring your own supplies or use the library's drawing supplies; no registration is required for the studio, which starts at 9 a.m.

LAKE OSWEGO READS TICKET GIVEAWAY (JAN. 20): Tickets to see Lily Brooks-Dalton, author of the Lake Oswego Reads selection "Good Morning, Midnight," will be distributed free to library cardholders (with a two-ticket-per-person limit) at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lake Oswego Public Library (706 Fourth St.). Brooks-Dalton is scheduled to lead a discussion of her book in the Lake Oswego High School auditorium at 7 p.m. on Feb. 13; admission is free, but tickets are required.
